I know you don’t want to hear it, but we’re less than a week away from the Dark Matter season two finale.  It feels like it’s just begun, but at the same time so much has happened.  That’s what you get with good TV – a rich story so involving that the time flies by.

Fasten your seat belts, because we’re about to come in for a season two finale crash landing.  But first, let’s take a look at this week in the world of Joseph Mallozzi and Dark Matter.

After another phenomenal episode, Joe shared many reviews and recaps of episode 210 “Take The Shot”.  I don’t think you’ll be surprised to find that the majority reaction was overwhelmingly positive.

As is a frequent custom on Joe’s blog, food was featured and this time right at the beginning.  You’re going to go into this entry hungry, but keep reading.  After poking your appetite, there’s information about the Comic Book Reading Club.  So if you’re into comics, or ever wondered if they were something you’d enjoy, swing on by the link and check it out.

It’s time to look ahead to Friday because this week is a double-shot of Dark Matter with a two-hour event.  There’s a promo, a sneak peek, and a shipload of pictures from the double episode evening.  And what an incredible two hours it was!

Today was a quick entry as Joe and Akemi are prepping for a two week trip to Japan.  Of course, Joe comes out of the gate mentioning eating, but how can you not love someone who loves good food this much?  He better enjoy the trip and rest up, because he’ll soon be headed back to Toronto to make some more TV just for us.

With two unbelievable episodes about to drop, today was focused on celebrating the directors who play a crucial role in shaping the show.  Episode 211 “Wish I’d Spaced You When I Had the Chance” was directed by Mairzee Almas.  She’s worked on Lucifer, The Last Ship, iZombie, The 100, Smallville.  Yeah, she’s damned good at this.  Episode 212 “”Sometimes in Life You Don’t Get to Choose” was directed by Stargate alum Will Waring.  He’s directed some of the best episodes in the Stargate franchise, so again we’re in really good hands.

We’re all on edge today.  This is the day we get a feature-length helping of Dark Matter and since season two is almost over, we’re all quite nervous about what will transpire.  Whet your appetite with some episode pictures and read interviews with Anthony Lemke and David Hewlitt.  And kudos to Alex Mallari, Jr. for being listed as one of Ontario’s Breakout Stars in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter.

Bon Voyage, Akemi and Joe!  Today, they left for Japan and that well-earned two week vacation.  Don’t worry, though.  Joe will keep in touch through his blog and he’s left a bunch of doggie pictures to help lift your spirits.

That’s all I’ve got for this week.  Prepare yourselves for an unbelievable finale!  See you next week.
