I think it’s a fairly safe bet to say that every genre fan and many non-genre fans love the classic TV show The Twilight Zone.  It had a way of capturing the fears of its audience and distilling them into entertaining parables, most of which still hold up perfectly to this very day.  The show has been revived a couple of times with mixed results at best, and for years it’s seemed that the magic the original show managed to conjure was all but gone.

Until now-ish.

Black Mirror, created by Charlie Brooker, originally debuted on Channel 4 in the UK back in 2011 to immediate critical acclaim.  It only had 3 episodes in that first season with another 3 following in 2013 and a special in 2014, but they were all amazing punches to the gut and brain.  Netflix was smart enough to pick up those seven episodes then showed brilliance by ordering a third season of 6 new episodes to be released on October 21.

A trailer for the upcoming new episodes has just been released.  After watching it below, you should do yourself a favor and check out those original 7 episodes.  They’re already on Netflix and it’ll give you something to pass the time until the new season begins.
